Wandering through the streets of Brighton brought out the inner rebel inside me that wanted to capture the street art that was painted on the walls around the lanes.

I love the artistic feel, and the relaxed vibe that surrounds the lanes of shops. The relaxed and happy atmosphere made me feel so happy. I love the reggae music playing in the shops, the friendly couple from Hastings that talked to me in a cafe, the shop assistant that was jamming to music saying that "working with music makes me feel more happy and being happy makes the job better for me". Also, seeing plenty of flowers outside the florist shops made me even more cheery on the sunny day I spent in Brighton :)

The quote "Smile x" written with Grapes on my flapjacks because sometimes you just need reminding that smiling is important!

These are a few of the happy moments my lens has captured on camera since I haven't written on this little space in a long time. Here's to hopefully more photography & regular updates.

Scrapbook Sunday - Cherish the moments

Hello lovely people, Welcome back to the blogging sphere, with life adventures. From the 20.10.2012-22.10.2012, I went to visit my Best Friend Siobhan in Exeter, making the 266 miles journey from the South East zigzagging the motorways on the trusty National Express, but it was worth it for the amazing weekend that we had. From our lovely meal on the first night to playing monopoly with the neighbours and winning 3/4 of the board in a team effort and being defeated at the last opportunity. Although it was a pretty good effort from me, as it was my first time properly playing monopoly.

From the first row across: The delicious meal Siobhan and I cooked, honestly so lovely. / 2/3. Exeter Cathedral flowers and the view from the centre walk way of the organ. / Siobhan sitting in a stone wall. / Standing on the Stairs in Exeter Museum Siobhan's OPI Nail vanish - Sparkly glitter nails / The Classic mirror photo/  The best flapjacks / Hall way photo.

Staying up chatting about our university experiences whilst painting our nails sparkly colours and then as soon as we woke up on the Sunday going to watch The Perks of A Wallflower, which was incredible. Followed up by a quick tour of Exeter Cathedral and a tour of the museum; beating Siobhan at the Child's game, by clicking the bird, and trying on Roman ensembles (Still children at heart - Always will be Forever Young). After a group of us went to The Old Fire House which was a beautiful place and food for a very reasonable price and the atmosphere was really nice too with wine bottles with candles in the top as the centre piece of the table and fairy lights all around - A lovely place & time overall!

We decided to rise early on the Monday to make Flapjacks, so that I could have some delicious food for the return journey, and my batch of flapjacks were so big, but were beaut with the melted chocolate in the middle.

Pictures from this week...

Scrapbook Sunday - Autumn Leaves :)

Since the last time I wrote a blog post I have moved from country living, to small city living with beautiful parks, punting on the river, and quaint book shops. This place is where I study and live for now. I am here for a positive reason so let's make the most of the beautiful scenery and places.

When I walked past this, I was instantly thinking to myself this is a childhood dream. I used to love watching the videos of Rupert Bear. I will step inside this world in the upcoming week, completely looking forward to it.

This fountain was just so magical to look at and I think that listening to the sound of water is so relaxing.

From the top of this there was a beautiful view of the whole city and it was completely beautiful because the sun was just going down.

The leaves are falling from the trees, the colours are slowly changing, but an Autumnal leaf is adapting to the change in seasons, the turn in the weather bringing with it the cooler months and the warmer clothes, the big jumpers and crunchy leaves underfoot. It is such a pretty time of year!

“Love the trees until their leaves fall off, then encourage them to try again next year.”

Scrapbook Sunday - Countryside, Sheep &* Marrows!

A collection of photographs from the last 2 weeks, which include countryside views of a wonderful lake where I have many happy memories and a family trip to a reservoir which was beautiful.

The sun set is one of the earth's most beautiful sights.

Trudy is a beautiful dog :)

Amazing childhood stories - If you have read the Beatrix Potter tales, which one is your favourite?

This marrow was donated to the charity I volunteer in and it is just wonderful that a person could grow something so amazing. So many people have enjoyed looking at it and trying to guess the weight, it is so heavy.

When I saw this smiley face on a wall when I was walking home, it just made me smile!

Keep smiling, love Emma,<3

Full of Hot Air!

The model aircraft whizzing around the main arena which was really amazing to watch as it was remote controlled.

So amazingly great - made me so happy to see!
Team G.B Hot Air Balloon - The Olympics was very exciting to watch and to be apart of and all of the Athletes did an amazingly. I hope the success carries on  for the Paralympic Games. I think the success of the Olympics is very inspiring and I hope it the positivity it has drawn on continues.

I think there is such a beauty in Hot Air Balloons and I loved them since childhood with classic films such as the Wizard of Oz. When I see a Hot Air Balloon, it ignites a child-like excitement and shows the beauty of travelling by one of the oldest methods of flight and an interesting fact is that the first modern Hot Air Balloon to be built in the U.K was the Bristol Belle in 1967. Last Thursday I was lucky enough to Bristol to go to the International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta.

It was actually a miracle that I managed to take any photos because in my rush to get to the train station on time, I left my S.D card in my memory card reader which was quite sad when I realised. But, I managed to find a camera card on a stall for a £5. It was a really sunny and beautiful day, perfect for a little picnic on the bank. There were lots of stalls to look around too and a really enjoyable atmosphere. I hope if I go again (maybe next year ;) that I will be able to stay and watch the glow assent of Hot Air Balloons or the mass assent at 6 a.m.

"The balloon seems to stand still in the air while the earth flies past underneath." Alberto Santos Dumont

Have you ever seen a Hot Air Balloon or would you like to go on a Hot Air Balloon ride?

Be inspired to smile, Love Emma, <3

Hopefully I will be going to Bristol this week which is exciting and I hope to take a lot of pictures.
