Reflecting on 2014: Going forward to 2015!

It is amazing to take a pause in your life and see the achievements, accomplishments which you have achieved individually and with my loved ones. This year has been one of the best of my life especially spending so much time with my family and friends and boyfriend Justin. I feel incredibly blessed to be able to have all the experiences which I have and the opportunities which make my life so incredible. There have been personal struggles but together with the people I love and care about, I have smiled, cried with happiness and laughter, experienced new memories and cherished old times.

I can achieve things which I never believed were possible such as running a Half Marathon in Bath for Mind and a 10K for the British Heart foundation in London. I learnt that running helps me feel calm and relax as it makes you feel amazing; running by the sea is the best!
·         Living by the seaside in a cute town which at first you didn't really like was the BEST decision you ever made by moving in with my Boyfriend to our own flat which since April we have been creating a home which has so much love, happiness and laughter! I learnt how loving, strong and courageous my boyfriend is how nothing will stop him from being a kind hearted and generous person: I am so lucky to be his girlfriend and I appreciate everything you have done and we will continue to do in 2015. I love you. x
·         That signs, destiny and fate are so significant that timing is everything and luck has been on my side. Prayers do get answered when you pray and have faith in a greater being.
·         Watching Netflix will become an addiction especially with my boyfriend that we watched Mom, and we are the Millers, so many episodes of TV shows and films.
·         Being a woman in 2014 was inspiring for me as I was involved in helping at the Spirit of Womanhood art Exhibition for Women’s Interfaith Network - On twitter as: @wominet and the film day and I had the privilege of interning for them in the office and attending the AGM.
·         Taking photographs is one of my favourite things to do; I especially love jumping in Sunset pictures and have so many of those photos from 2014. I love nature photographs and capturing moments of joy with my family, friends and Justin.
·         I completed a Counselling skills course and it was one of the best experiences and taught me so much about myself, and reaffirmed that I have a gentle and soft voice and so many people tell me this.
·         Seeing my family grow up makes me so full of pride as the big sister, as Jackie started High School and Andrew is in the last year of Infants school, it makes so proud and Julia is continuing with her beauty course and she is becoming more talented every time I see her.

  • More fun things which happened in 2014: Enjoying a weekend break, Going on our first holiday to Blackpool, Having adventures with my family at LEGOLAND, seeing their faces full of happiness and having the best time, also going to Brighton and spending quality time with Justin’s family. Seeing my family and spending time with my family! Having so many amazing days out with Justin - going to the cinema to watch lots of films at the cinema as we are ‘filmoholics’, going bowling together. Seeing the wonderful Bhaktivadanta Manor and experiencing one of the most peaceful days of my life and going to the Jewish Synagogue and religious buildings, doing yoga and seeing the cows and experiencing the Harri Krishna way of life for a day.

My new year’s goals for 2015:

·         Explore new things and have more adventures in Kent and London.
·         Continue with my passion of going to Religious places, and exploring faiths
·         Keep running half-marathons and 10K for Charity – 1st February 2015 my next one for Cancer Research UK – a 10K London Winter Run with my friend Adele.
·         To give my ultimate best to my degree for the next six months so that I am so proud that I completed the hardest, most challenging and exciting three years.
·         To do something positive making the world a better place for the present and the future.
·         Focus on giving to my family, friends and my boyfriend more – to show more appreciation and love.
·         Film a video every day that I am university until I finish my third year starting on the 5th January so I will always have something to watch and in the future hopefully show my children/grandchildren.
·         To look to the future with positivity and embrace all opportunities which are given to me.

Here is to 2015, I hope you bring blessings, happiness and health to you all, my loved ones and myself. I hope it is a year where your dreams are made and the hard work from 2014 is continued and developed as we grow and learn!

2014| Christmas at the Chiwara & Hubbard's x

Christmas for me is about sharing special moments with the people I love so much and enjoying all the happiness and love we share: the small things like the Christmas Eve walks, the fresh air and the beautiful views, and the cheeky smiles and laughing which was loud and constant! Christmas is magical seeing the magic of believing when my little brother and sister read their letter from Santa which they loved so much; to see the happiness when you’re loved ones open their gifts. It was a very special Christmas and I felt truly blessed to see my friends, family and Justin happy and enjoy Christmas.

In one of my classes at university, we had to find Christmas in the city, but the place where I think I truly see the spirit and meaning of Christmas come to life is in the Nativity on Christmas Eve and the Christingle service in the church we go to. When the lights are turned out and the candles glow from the orange of the world, it is evident to me that the light and sparkle of Christmas is in people’s hearts in that moment and for their life going forward. I look forward to that moment and it is wonderful and it felt extra special that Justin was there.  Seeing my sister Jackie in the Nativity for her final year made me so proud and happy that she is growing up but still keeps the belief in faith which is present at this joyful time!

I hope everyone had a lovely peaceful and happy Christmas and winter break, relaxing and enjoying Winter with lots of Hot Chocolate and delicious food, I feel so blessed and thankful to have the life I have!

Love Emma. xx

Fireworks Extravaganza!!

As a young child, the Fireworks on Bonfire Night the 5th November are one my favourite time of the year, wrapped up in winter clothes it is just a sign that winter is more on its way! I would watch the fireworks displays from my bedroom window in the attic with my family, sometimes going to the amazing displays watching the wonder of the displays! It makes me incredibly happy as Christmas is just closer. It is acceptable to start wearing Christmas jumpers and drinking Hot Chocolates whilst snuggled up in bed with Netflix or some Christmas films. Watching the fireworks with your friends have to be the best with an heart-warming atmosphere: especially seeing them falling in such a sprinkle of glitter in the night sky. Fireworks are just so beautiful to watch and this was my first occasion to watch them in Canterbury and they were beyond amazing and I am so happy that I went along.

“Laughter is the fireworks of the soul!”

Enjoy every sunset, Look forward to every sunrise!

There is something magical about cycling by the sea, with the breeze in you hair and feeling the sense of freedom and happiness that cycling gives you. I love the feeling of peace I feel by the sea and it is so calming but continuing forward the bike, like in life move forward and you will succeed. I love the smell of BBQ's, the fires on the beach, the colorful beach huts being used and seeing so many happy people in the sunshine. But I do love jumping off my bike and taking pictures of the beautiful sunsets. When I see flying kites, it reminds me of being a child flying my blue panda one which I loved so much, but it is a lovely sight to see. Loving life and seizing life makes me feel a tranquil happiness with the sea.

Do you enjoying cycling? Everyone should try it!

Sparkle in glittering water!

Capturing the beauty of a butterfly has always been a photograph I have wanted to take, although it is not quite there yet, I hope to photograph one properly this summer! But I am very happy with this picture, practice makes perfect! I love sunsets, seeing the sky change colours is so beautiful and makes me so happy when I see them I can stand there looking for ages. Making a splash in the river is always fun and the perfect way to cool off on a summer’s evening. I love discovering new places to advernture in a place I have called home for so long. As the sun was setting, rabbits were skipping around the park but it was such so quick in the moment to watch them but so cute. Today I registered my place to run a 10K in London for the British Heart Foundation: a charity very close to my heart.

Strength in a spectacular wonder: YOU!

Mountains are so grand as one of the world’s most spectacular wonders which I realise the extent of human strength that a mountain holds, but also it can enable you to see the strength in yourself and other people. On their life journey as walking a mountain: whether it is a real one or a climbing challenge in your life: Face the challenge of life with courage, take a risk or leap into a new adventure. It also is incredible to me, the number of people that walk mountains everyday, and how their life paths may never cross again but the mountain path has been walked by so many people with so many different journeys. The intricacies of the details in the world is quite magical: such as rain on plants or a spider’s web. Seeing new fruit come into the season nearly ready for being picked makes me feel joyful that soon I will be enjoying home made apple & blackberry tarts!
Today is for living, I aim to create days that I will look back on and think I made a difference to the world, I helped a person, I made someone smile: to me, these are the important.

She's a wildflower singing in the breeze!

The sunshine has made me incredibly happy today and the Pharrell Williams song - Happy has been the song of the day! Today was a mixture of going to a lake with my family chasing around after my excited sister and brother as it is the beginning of the summer holidays for them! Also there was water balloon fun in the evening sun with my brother. I love taking pictures of flowers and trees so they are so special and the environment is something so beautiful and I appreciate so much. Flowers always make me smile, every body is a flower blooming in the sunshine when they smile! I'm looking forward to the weekend and I hope the sunshine is still shining!
